One applicant calls it a slip. His agent calls it a token. The centre asks for the GCC slip. Somebody else says bring the appointment PDF. It sounds like four documents. It is one.
This is the page you receive after booking your GCC medical, and without it the centre will not examine you. Here is what is on it, how to get one, and what to do when it goes missing.
One document, four names
| Name | Who uses it |
|---|---|
| Appointment slip / Wafid slip | The standard name, used on the booking system |
| GCC slip / GCC medical slip | The usual term in Sri Lanka, Kenya and Bangladesh |
| GAMCA slip | The older name, still in daily use |
| Token | What most recruitment agents say |
If your agent asks for any of these, send the confirmation PDF we emailed you. Where the different names came from is explained in our piece on Wafid and GAMCA.
What is printed on it
- Your full name and passport number
- Your nationality
- The Gulf country your visa is for
- The medical centre assigned to you, with its address
- Your appointment reference
- A QR code the centre scans at the counter
Before you travel, hold your passport next to the slip and compare them. The name and passport number must match exactly. Centre staff are strict about this, because your result is filed against your passport number, and a mismatch is not something the counter can fix.
How to get your slip
- Choose where you will be examinedCountry first, then city. Only cities with appointments available appear on the form.
- Choose your destinationBahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UAE or Yemen.

- Fill the confirmation fields properlyYou are asked to retype your passport number and your email address. Both exist because of how often a single wrong character causes trouble later.
- Pay by cardOur booking fee is US$18, shown in full before you pay. The medical centre's own fee is separate and paid at the centre.
- Watch your inboxThe PDF normally arrives within about five minutes.
Booking runs 24 hours a day, every day, including weekends and holidays. If you would rather have a person go through the form with you, message our team.
Can I choose my own centre?
In most countries, no. You choose the city and a centre inside it is assigned to you. Picking a specific centre yourself is possible only for Lebanon, the Philippines, Tanzania, Thailand and Turkey.
That is why the city matters. Choose the one you can reach on the morning of the appointment, not the one nearest your agent's office.
How long does the slip stay valid?
Your slip is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued, and you must attend the centre inside that window. Miss it and the appointment lapses, which means booking and paying again.
Step 1: your slip
From the date it is issued. Attend the centre inside that window.
Step 2: your result
From the date it is published. Your visa process must use it inside that window.
The result that follows has its own clock. Once published, your medical result is valid for 60 days. So the sequence is 30 days to take the test, then 60 days for that result to be used in your visa process. Some employers and embassies ask for a more recent result, so check with yours.
Book when you know you can actually go. Plenty of applicants book the day their recruiter calls, then travel home to their village for two weeks and let the slip run out.
Lost the slip? You probably do not need a new booking
Your appointment is stored against your passport number, so the document can be reissued. The booking itself is not lost. Ask us to send a new copy with your passport number and nationality.
Three habits that save a lot of trouble
- Save the PDF to your phone the day it arrives, not the night before the test.
- Take a photograph of it too, in case the file will not open at the centre.
- Forward it to one family member. Phones get lost, and asking your brother for the file is quicker than starting again.
If you need to cancel or correct something
Visas get delayed and joining dates move. You can cancel without an OTP. We ask for a copy of your passport front page to confirm your identity, then process it.
If a passport detail is wrong on the slip, tell us before the appointment day. Depending on the mistake it may be corrected or it may need a fresh booking, and either way notice makes it simpler.
On the day, and after
Take the printed slip, your original passport and a photocopy, and your passport-size photographs. Three is the usual number, though centres can ask for a different quantity. Sri Lankan applicants should also carry their NIC or NICOP.
Once you have been examined, the slip has done its job. Results are normally published within 24 to 72 hours. You can track your booking with your passport number, and check your result on the official Wafid portal.
